Cable & Wireless Unveils Low Cost
Unlimited International Calling: NetSpeak

More features and local support make Internet telephony easy

Tortola, British Virgin Islands,- Cable & Wireless, the world's leading integrated provider in small and medium sized economies, unveiled plans to offer new low-cost international calling to customers in British Virgin Islands: NetSpeak, a high-speed Internet telephony service using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. The service is being offered on a trial basis to selected customers today and when fully introduced, the rollout in the BVI will follow successful launches of NetSpeak in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Barbados, St Lucia, and St Kitts. Full Service will be available upon receipt of government approval.

Exclusive Service to USVI and Puerto Rico
NetSpeak service in the BVI will have unique and exclusive components that provides for unlimited calls to the USVI and Puerto Rico that no other company offers.Customers will be able to choose an area code from the US, Canada or UK, as their home phone number. This means friends and family living in that same area code, can phone NetSpeak Caribbean customers as if they were making a local call

Free Calls
Cable & Wireless is providing customers the opportunity to understand and experience the quality and ease-of-use for themselves.

Customers can make free phone calls at Cable & Wireless' Road Town Office and the BVI Music Fest for 3 minutes.

Pricing
NetSpeak, allowing unlimited calls and even more customer choice, upon government approval, will be priced at a low monthly flat rate.

VoIP technology has taken the world by storm in North America and Europe. In fact, international technology consulting firm Frost & Sullivan estimates that Internet telephony will account for approximately 75% of world voice services by 2007 (Frost & Sullivan, 3/2002.)
